Only school or district initiatives should include the Student Chrome extension. The Student Chrome extension was not intended or designed for individual student use.
The extension activates when the Learn Platform for Students Chrome extension has been installed on a user's browser.
This happens when the person visits a site in our product catalog. The extension's colors will be grayed out if it isn't activated. The extension is colored when it activates. The extension activates and collects general usage information. The information collected can include a school-provided user ID time of day and information about the domain or web site. Chrome only collects information about domains that are associated with Learn Platform apps and sites. This product library was built over five years and includes just under 6000 products as well as related web sites that were identified by school clients and district clients.
The Chrome extension does not identify students. Instead the information is used to assist schools and districts in understanding and improving technology's support for teaching and learning. Please visit our Privacy Center for more information on the security and privacy practices of the Learn Platform extension and Chrome extension.
